Heating pad? Or a safe alternative?

I know that heating pads are prohibited on the ship. I use heat daily for health reasons. At home I generally use microwave heating pads, but I know that a microwave will not be available to me on the ship. If I pack an electric heating pad, will it likely be confiscated?

Best answer - maybe.

 

Hot water bottle would be a good alternative. Or those chemical hot packs from a camping supply place.

Bring a box of those hand and feet warmers. They work great.

I would look for the thermacare heat wraps that you can get from the pharmacy. I have used them before when I hurt my back and they stay warm for 8-12 hours and stick on your skin wherever you need them. They make them for back, front, shoulders, joints.

Yes thermacare is a Must! Once I got the off brrand....do not do this!

 

Forgot them this cruise and paid for it after! Soon as we got off the ship, too soft bed for 5 days....

had to get these to recover.

I’ve successfully packed my heating pad 3 times in my checked luggage. It has auto shut off...maybe that is why they’ve allowed it? Idk!

My husband also uses a heating pad, he successfully brought his on the Conquest in February 2017. Also has auto on/off shut off, no one questioned it.
