First Trip to Grand Turk-The Lighthouse and Golf Carts

Hey all. I apologize if this has been on here before. I did a forum search and couldn't find the answer.

 

Basically, My family and I are going to be in Grand Turk this coming April on the Conquest. We mainly want to hang on the beach and enjoy it, but wouldn't mind a quick trip around or tour of the island. Is the Lighthouse close enough that you can get there by Golf Cart? As far as time and such.

As lighthouses go it is nothing special and it is at the opposite end of the island. No traffic but have to watch out for donkeys. This is mainly a beach port. Enjoy!

Sure, the island is only about 6.5 miles long. You could rent a golf cart and see the sights and -- unless you have an unusually short port-stop -- have time afterward to hang out on the beach.

You could also incorporate other beaches, like Governors Beach, into your golf cart travels. It's considered one of the best "unspoiled" beaches at Grand Turk and is reportedly great for snorkeling.
