BosoxI Posted January 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Why are some S1 cabins higher priced than others? There's only a $50 difference on our cruise of interest, but there must be some distinction. Or is it because the Celebrity site is not distinguishing between S1 and S2.? Their website no longer bothers to show the sub-category - you have to go to other TA or deckplan websites to see which cabins are in which sub-category. Just another Celebrity "improvement"
wrk2cruise Posted January 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2018 They don't seem to distinguish anywhere in their paperwork anymore. I booked a S1 GTY (at a price higher than S2) and until the room was assigned it only showed Sky Suite GTY. Then even after it was assigned it only shows Suite Class on my XPass although the room number is there and it is a S1 cabin. I find this change confusing. I'm generally interested in booking a particular sub category. I'd wonder if they were going to try to get away from sub categories on Edge but know they already have Sky Suites broken down into S1, S2 and new S3 categories.
