Hotel recommendations for land vacation in Curacao

I know several fellow cruisers who have posted on this board have also done land vacations to Curacao. We are looking for recommendations for a hotel for our 10 day trip this fall. Here are a few things we are looking for or not looking for in a property:

 

Beach or ocean front

 

Not interested in large resort like the Hilton or Renaissance

 

Open to private rental such as a condo, house, etc

 

Prefer smaller/intimate properties such as boutique or privately owned mini resorts such as 10 cabanas

 

Doesn't necessarily have to be right in the heart of town, but don't want to be a 30 min drive for dining outside of the hotel

 

Under $200/nt?

 

2 middle aged adults, no children. Don't need kid activities nor wild nightlife, but do enjoy a good evening. :)

 

Tried posting on Trip Advisor, but no responses yet. I've looked through various properties and nothing jumps at me as exactly what we are looking for. Open to suggestions! Thanks.

Just returned from our 9 nts in Curacao.  Opted for Scuba Lodge and Suites.  Perfect for our needs!  Posted a very long review of our stay on their FB page and trip advisor if anyone is looking for more information.
