Squirrel29 Posted January 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2018 Sailing in a few weeks and looking at the forecast for HMC. The day we are supposed to be there winds are going to be 25mph with gust up to 41 mph. At what point would it be to high to tender?
marshhawk Posted January 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2018 how can you trust the weather a few weeks out. if the wind is 25-41 gusts you wont tender, you might not even sail by. but I would check the weather a bit closer to the cruise date. I would hate for you to miss one of the best beaches in the world, but because it is a tender port, you probably would miss it if the wind was that rough. Squirrel29 Posted January 21, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted January 21, 2018 Just more of a curiosity thing than anything else. But good to know thanks.

As far as forecasts, you will not know for sure if a port will be skipped very often until that morning. have a great cruise
bunchesofun Posted January 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2018 In April we sat in the theater from 9am till around noon when the Captain finally decided it was ok to tender. They will try their best if it isn't simply horrible.
Micahs Grandad Posted January 21, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 21, 2018 Great port but very often mother nature will have it cancelled, wish they could build a dock.
salty dingo Posted January 21, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 21, 2018 A great beach day! Bring some bread or crackers to feed the fish as you wade about. Sand is like baby powder. Lots of lush foliage and lizards.
