Alaska land first - wine and soda?

I will be on the land portion of our Alaska tour and then taking the cruise. If I understand correctly, I can bring 1 bottle of wine and soda on board. I am trying to figure out how to do this. Do I have to carry it around with me during the 5 day land portion, or is there somewhere I can purchase near the cruise terminal in Seward before boarding the ship?

There is a Safeway grocery fairly close to the port in Seward. I had planned to buy wine there however when we stopped at Settler’s Bay for lunch is Wasilla, there was a convenience store next door with a large wine selection so I shopped there instead.

There is a liquor store much closer to the cruise terminal. The store is located across a small road from the Breeze Inn.

We are due to leave Denali in the morning and will be bused to Seward to get on the cruise. Departure time for cruise is 8 PM. Will we have time to go to the liquor store or Safeway before boarding?
