Yes, but it is going to be EXPENSIVE. So much so, Carnival will not even say exactly. Here's the link to the Carnival web page about it:

Even if you have a great cell plan at home, it is likely a domestic plan, and the ship is treated as another country. So as far as billing you, anything goes (ouch!):eek:

Cellular at Sea (the shipboard provider) charges $2.49/minute.

Calling from your cabin phone is $1.99/minute.

 

Some pax have been able to call thru FaceTime using the Hub chat feature.

If you have AT&T or TMobile majority of their plans allow you to use your plan in Mexico as you would in the USA. This is on land only at sea it’s a different story as you use the Cellular at Sea which is not part of your plan

If you have AT&T or TMobile majority of their plans allow you to use your plan in Mexico as you would in the USA. This is on land only at sea it’s a different story as you use the Cellular at Sea which is not part of your plan

We have Verizon Wireless. We had service once we debarked in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta.

OP are you talking about at sea or in port in Mexico. As someone said, most U.S. cell service have very inexpensive options for land based calling

If you buy the internet on the ship and you have facebook messenger.......you can facetime through facebook messenger (with phone in airplane mode). We messenger facetimed with our grandson several times.

We bought the best internet plan and when we tried to Face Time, definitely got the audio with a slight delay, but the video was spotty at best

Verizon has a feature called "Travel Pass" that allows you to use your domestic minutes and data in Mexico for a $5 per day connection fee...

Called the AT&T and they don't have a phone package with carnival but was told by a representative that we use Wi-Fi calling with airplane mode on. Gonna give that a try.
