Just wondering what everyone's favorite and least favorite desserts were on carnival ships. I will be cruising next April/05 on the Miracle and want to make sure I don't miss out on something good.

Hmmm. So many to choose from! I like the Grand Marnier Souffle, Strawberry Crepes, and Chocolate Decadence. Just too many to name.

And by all means, order the complimentary espresso to go w/your dessert!

I don't know if they still have it or not, but my husband fell in love with the Baba au rum on our last Carnival trip in 2000.(they're a small dark cake soaked in rum) He found them in the Lido the morning after they were served for dessert and kept having them instead of waffles or pancakes!

On the CTN a coupla weeks ago, I had the Flan. (I think they just called it Caramel Custard.) It was really very good. I also had two tortes - both good - one was chocolate and the other was mango. Unfortunately, the Grand Marnier Souffle' wasn't very good this cruise.;)

folks are going to jump all over me on this one - but i liked the 'dietitic' choice. even tho' i am a chocolate addict (inject it right into my veins), i liked the flavored sponge cake with whipped cream frosting. just right after a heavy dinner (and the chocolate dessert!! LOL).

cricket,

What desserts were on the menu? Why were you not pleased with them?

Did you dine at Nick & Nora's? If so, please elaborate. We plan on reserving 2 nights there. We leave on the 24th! Thanks.
To tell you the truth, I thought the Miracle desserts left something to be desired. We did go to the dessert bar and paid $2 for the most delicious chocolate cake we ever tasted.!
