Mr and Mrs C Posted January 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2018 I am helping my friend who has ms organize her cruise. We have a scooter rented for her that she will pick up outside the terminal. I had thought of putting a luggage tag on her walker and sending it with the porters but am worried it will get ruined in the process. Wondering if anyone has any information on this so that the family doesn’t have to carry the walker around until their room is ready? That could be an option.
kokopelli-az Posted January 25, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2018 You might want to post this inquiry on the Disabled Cruise board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
Mr and Mrs C Posted January 25, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Uh wouldn't she need the walker when she was on board waiting for her cabin? Why would anyone need to carry it? Because we have the scooter rented, so she will be using this once she gets to terminal. She just wants the walker for the room. pizzalady1 Posted January 25, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2018 I also had a scooter and let the longshoremen take my walker. The walker was waiting at my door when the room was ready.
loveaftcabins Posted January 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 26, 2018 All that needs to be done is for one (and only one) of your family to take the walker to the cabin when you board. Then leave. Easy peasy. We do this every cruise.
