Alaskanb Posted January 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2018 Currently we sleep with the head of our bed elevated (wedges between mattress and box-springs). Does any one have any experience of doing this using blocks or life vests with the new Princess beds? Thanks

cvpends Posted January 25, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2018 You can have your travel agent request extra pillows to prop your upper body up. The bed does not have a mechanism for elevation. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
myfuzzy Posted January 25, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2018 I would never use a life vest for anything other than its needed for. Are you able to bring your own wedges with you?
pedirn Posted January 25, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2018 I also need head elevated and I purchased an anti reflux pillow from Amazon. Actually have two of them. One folds and has its own carrying case. I use this one at home and when we travel locally. For when I have to fly a distance I have an inflatable wedge pillow. Takes seconds to inflate and deflate. This can be used under regular pillows or under the mattress.

Although I am thinking about checking with airlines as they are considered medical supplies and I could easily throw on a luggage tag. We both have one under each side of our mattress so the foldable wedge ones would be best but a pain to transport. Need to think about it ............. If you read about the issue on CC the life vests are offered as a solution. The wedges are quite large so difficult to haul around when flying. Great idea!
SadieN Posted January 26, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 26, 2018 We’ve elevated our feet with the life vests. Our steward remade our beds in such a way that you could see some orange and a strap was hanging out. Since we’re short, this arrangement is safer for us. The closet shelf is too high for us. Great idea! My thought also. I'm short so they are hard for me to grab.
susancruzs Posted January 26, 2018 #13 Share Posted January 26, 2018 Thanks so much for this information. My sister is having respiratory issues, has been looking on the internet, why we didn't think of Amazon is beyond me. Very helpful, thanks again! carlied Posted January 26, 2018 #15 Share Posted January 26, 2018 I take the small pillow on the bed and put it between the regular pillows that seen to help me. Getting extra pillows don't help me because they are so soft.
