Amsterdam Dinner Seating Times

I tried the search mode on this subject and I get a complete blank page in reply.

 

So the question is, "What are the dinner seating times in Amsterdam on the Feb 5, 2006, cruise to Hawaii?"

Based solely on recent experience and what I've read on the board (and always subject to experiment, test, modification or change):

Early Upper: 5:45

Early Lower: 6:15

Main Upper: 8:00

Main Lower: 8:30

Alaska cruises are typically 15 minutes earlier.

The Oosterdam is currently running a "test". If it passes (or fails, depending on your point of view) it could be extended to other ships.

We are on the Mar 22 Amsterdam cruise to Hawaii and as far as I know, the times are as RuthC posted. We haven't been notified, yet, of anything different.

Ok, thanks much for the times. Now two other questions. One, which do you prefer, the upper or lower areas? Two, what are the times for the floor shows associated with the four seatings?

I prefer to dine at 8:00 PM, so that places me on the upper level. I'm more concerned with time (and food!) than deck.

The shows are (usually) held at 8:30 and 10:30, so there's plenty of time to get there. If you're on the upper level at a smallish table there's going to be time to stop off for a drink or dance before going to the show.

Once in a while the show for the later sitting will be held before dinner---6:45. There's still plenty of time for a cocktail and dancing.
