Vision of the Seas - Transportation to Pier in Los Angeles

Recommended Posts

Sky Limo 800-359-1800 or Execu-Car (don't have a number for them) are two good town car/limo services (you can order either). We live about 10 minutes from the port, and a Sky Limo ride in a town car runs us about $65 plus tip to go LAX. We've always found them to be very reliable. My boss uses Execu Car and really likes them.

A cab might be a bit less, but you're on a meter, and if there's any kind of traffic and you're stuck, it could cost you quite a lot.

There are also shared vans like Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle, but I don't think 4 of you could "charter" a van for any less, so you run the risk of circling the airport waiting for additional fares or not being the first ones off.

We were on VOS in October and had what turned out to be a great idea. We got into LAX at 7AM so we would have plenty of time to cover any delays etc. The problem was, once you claim your bags, you can't get back into the terminal and any of the resturants. After asking all the policemen and workers arround, we found there was nothing available. We got the idea to go out to the Hotel Shuttle area and took the first one that came along. The driver took us to the Marriot where for a $5.00 tip the bellman put our bags in the holding room. We then went to the resturant and had a wonderful Sunday Breakfast Buffet. When we were done we had the bellman call us a cab to the pier. He loaded our bags for us and after a $50.00 cab ride for our party of 5 we were at the ship by 11AM.

We used PrimeTime Shuttle (arranged by email prior) and it worked very nicely. I think it was about $16.00. They have a bunch of them running around.

Was that $16.00 total or per person. Supershuttle is $71 (private) for 4 one-way from LAX to San Pedro
