Taipei/Keelung to National Palace - how much would a taxi be?

Does anyone know how much a taxi would be from the Keelung Port or Keelung bus station to the National Palace Museum?

I have looked at the bus schedule on google maps and the bus is cheap and about 1:45 to 2 hours. Trying to compare taking taking taxi - is it worth the time savings.

We do not want to do a tour. Will be there in mid-March.

Distance is about 30 km, typical travel time is about 50 to 60 minutes, approximately 600 NT, depending on conversion rates, $20 to $25 USD. Taxi fares are very reasonable & many considered inexpensive.

 

Just a word of caution, plan for & allow extra time in traffic both ways, especially to get back to the ship ... mindful of all abroad time & have the port agent's phone number, just in case. Lots of FAQ answered here -

See those stairs/steps - you can be driven to a different dropoff point, closer to the musuem's entrance - marked for those with mobility issues. We could've easily spend more than half a day there - on-site cafe/self-service restaurant once you are inside, be prepared for crowds (although, it's a lot less these days ... )
