twalker Posted January 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2018 Anyone wanting something a little different from the beaches and historic sites in Goa and loves good food should spend the day at Rita's Gourmet (http://ritasgourmetgoa.com/). I highly recommend the Shore Culinary Tour which included a warm welcome and homemade breakfast on arrival in the morning, an informative, guided walk around the colourful local market to buy vegetables, a couple of hands-on hours making various dishes and then the best part - eating what we made! Rita and her team of assistants are wonderful teachers and we were able to try our hands at lots of different things in the kitchen. Practicalities: We booked via Rita's website and paid on the day we were there. We were met at the port gates and whisked directly to Rita's Gourmet, then to the market and back and finally back to the ship at the end of the day (in plenty of time for the ship's departure). It was pretty much hassle and worry free from start to finish and the day was one of the highlights of our cruise.
