mrizer7773 Posted February 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2018 Just looking for ideas/advice/opinions in choosing our next cruise. Prices are equal, accommodations are equal. Any input is appreciated! Option 1 - Liberty out of Galveston. Ports - Grand Cayman/Jamaica/Cozumel Option 2 - Allure out of Ft Laud. Ports - St Maarten/San Juan/Haiti Option 3 - Oasis out of Orlando. Ports - Bahamas/St Thomas/St Maarten Only other factors to consider. -We have been on the Liberty and Allure. -We have been to the following ports of the ones listed above, Grand Cayman/Jamaica/Cozumel/Bahamas We are totally open and as usual, indecisive! ;p Thanks guys and gals! If I HAD to pick from just those three..... I would choose Allure Oasis going to Nassau would make it my last choice. Plus I like Mama Mia over Cats. Unless you live close to Galveston...it can be an adventure to fly to Houston and then ride/drive over to Galveston to get on Liberty. Allure is right next to the Airport. Clarea Posted February 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2018 Option 2 or 3 is what I would choose. Much more convenient to be a fly-in cruiser to Ft. Lauderdale or Port Canaveral than to Galveston.

Rare JessyCruises Posted February 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2018 I would go for Allure. Ease of the transport to/from the airport and ports being the #1 reason Sent from my iPhone using Forums
luvscruising2007 Posted February 3, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2018 I chose Allure because of the ports.
mrizer7773 Posted February 5, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Thanks everyone. We are leaning towards either the Allure or Oasis. Sounds like Allure is best simply due to the departure port.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer Port Canaveral to Ft. Lauderdale. Even though the airport is a 45-minute drive to Port Canaveral, the port area is much less crowded, hotels are less expensive, lots of reasonable places to eat. I feel like I can relax as soon as I get on the road to Cocoa Beach.

You need to find a mother-in-law (or relative) in Fort Lauderdale that will feed, house, and chauffeur you like I have.
