FYI - using the Hoho boat before 10:00 AM from S167 Stadsgarden

I emailed the Stromma people to see if they ran boats directly from the cruise ship dock to Vasa before 10:00 AM (since the Vasa opens at 8:30 in the high season). Below is their response:

Hello

We usually have boats waiting for the cruise ship and then departs directly to the Vasa museum when it opens. You can only buy a return ticket, valid for 24hrs and you can use the whole day to visit all the other sights in Stockholm.

Hallå,

We are traveling to Stockholm via cruise ship on June 16th 2018, docking at S167 Stadsgarden. I read on some message boards that you have previously run early boats (prior to 10 AM) directly from the cruise ship dock to the Vasa Museum. I also read that you could purchase a one ride ticket for this.

Is this something you anticipate offering for the upcoming summer? We are looking for the fastest way to get from the ship to the Vasa Museum since it opens at 8:30 AM.

The other HoHo boat company Red Boat sightseeing says on their website that

 

"Yes, we will start our operation up on the arrival of the cruise ship.".

I also contacted the Stromma service and got a similar reply—their boats will be available for the direct trip to the Vasa Museum as soon as ships arrive. She also said there was no need to reserve tickets in advance.

Although for what it's worth, you do get 10% off if you book the boat online ahead of time.
