DJLDRUMS Posted February 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2018 A few posts back the Grandeur was hobbling back to the east coast-Baltimore with an unscheduled stop off at Port Canaveral in lieu of the Bahamas in hopes of getting a mechanical issue looked at and repaired. Since then, any passengers able to pass along any further information as to how she's been handling the North Atlantic during the Winter ? Or as the old cliche goes "No news is good news"? Yes, it was fixed, but, on the past cruise, they spent an overnight in Miami for more work. Don’t know if it was linked to the previous rudder problem though. The ship just got back to port yesterday. I’ve been on the Grandeur many times in the winter months and the ship handles it great. Problems happen to all ships from time to time, no matter where they cruise from. The Grandeur is over 21 yrs old and still going strong. johnlcruise Posted February 12, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2018 Just returned this past Saturday. And yes it's all fixed. A great time was had by all. Outstanding service and food. It really was a nice 9 day cruise. Lady G is in a class all by herself. She is old and starting to show it. But it's the crew that made this sailing so nice. Looking forward to sailing her again.
