NYR Fan Posted February 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2018 I've read on various threads you cannot bring alcohol (spirits) on board. However, wine is allowed, which doesn't make too much sense. That being said, can I purchase vodka on board for consumption on board? BTW, this will be on a cruise from Bayonne, NJ to New England/Canada. TIA

TIA You may be able to buy some half-size bottles of hard liquor, depending on the ship: https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/royalgifts/onboard-delivery/packages/other-packages/
papaflamingo Posted February 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2018 You can bring on 2 750ml of wine per cabin. And only at initial embarkation. As mentioned above, you can also buy some bottles through the website at an outrageous price, but if you buy any alcohol in port or on board, they hold it for you and deliver it on the last day. Merion_Mom Posted February 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2018 On the Anthem, you can order these: https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/royalgifts/onboard-delivery/packages/absolut-vodka-and-sprite-package/ https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/royalgifts/onboard-delivery/packages/bombay-sapphire-and-tonic-package/ https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/royalgifts/onboard-delivery/packages/johnnie-walker-red-and-coca-cola-package-copy/ Other than that, no liquor purchases on board can be consumed on board. (except what you buy at a bar ;) )

There is also a concern about guests over-serving themselves in the privacy of their own cabin and getting injured, falling overboard, etc. The thought is that with wine it's a bit harder to do that than a bottle of tequila.
