Princess from NYC?

I read on another post that Princess is planning a year round sailing from NYC. Any truth to this? If so, do anyone know the details?

I don't think it is year round. Princess' new ship Crown will sail from Red Hook, Brooklyn beginning on June 14, 2006 with 9 day itineraries to western and eastern caribbean. The last sailing out of NY on Crown is last week of October where she will begin sailing from San Jaun. The other ship is the Star sailing from Manhattan the month of October doing a 7 day Canada itinerary. Where did you read all year round sailings? That would be nice.

I did notice the MSC will be scheduling a ship to sail from the New York metro area in the near future. I went the some Web sites to see their ships, amenities and prices and am impressed with what they have to offer. We are seriously considering giving them a try.

Ditto.......I like the idea of an "italian owned" cruise line homeport one of their ships in NYC. That will begin in April 2007. So many ships, so little time.:)
