Use of Spa...pool, sauna and such

This my 2nd cruise on Carnival so I should know this, 1st Cruise we were to busy having fun, exploring and relaxing to look into this.....can anyone use the facilities at the spa, are there fees for everything or just the treatments?

Taking my Mom this time and thought she might like to use the facilities, but she is not one to spoil herself with treatments.

If it is a ship with a cloud 9 spa, you can buy a pass to access those areas for the cruise. Depending on the ship there are Therapy pools, various heated and steam rooms, aromatherapy and such. You can find them on the website on the spa booking page under the category "relaxation areas"

There is a fee for the thermal spa area access as well as fees for individual spa treatments. Cloud 9 Spa cabins have general access included in the price. You can buy a daily or weekly pass.

From what I have read, since I haven't been on a cruise yet, is that even though the dry sauna rooms are inside the spa area, they are free for use by all passengers.

The sauna and showers in the spa areas are free.
