So even when the pit boss says he is buying the table a round it counts toward the 15???? Kinda pointless if everyone has cheers at the table. lol

Missed that.:D We were comped a few on our last cruise and they did not count. The casino host put told the servers to charge the drinks to her card. Ok they still always take our cards even though the pit boss says it’s on them. But good to know those don’t count. Thanks

Partytime43147 Posted February 28, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 28, 2018 The DOU card does not count towards you 15 limit. Look at your receipt when you sign it, it will say 0 Drinks on us When you sign a cheers receipt it has the number at the bottom. And yes I have drank my limit on cheers and finished in the casino several times.....sorry it’s vacation.

I have hit 1500 point the last couple of cruises and the casino manager has told me DOU card is useless since it counts towards the 15 drink minimum. Both times they have given me free Steakhouse meals for two so it still is a good deal for me. I just have someone else buy my drinks if I hit the limit. I believe when Cheers first came out, DOU did not count towards the limit but they were combined a while ago.
sgttami Posted February 28, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 28, 2018 DOU does NOT count towards your 15 . Just off Pride. had a few beers in casino and then went to the casino bar. Bartender told me it was my first for the day!
Kyndal93 Posted February 28, 2018 Author #12 Share Posted February 28, 2018 You are going to drink more than the 15 drink limit??:o I mean I’ve definitely hit it a few times. On a sea day, if you have 3 fruity drinks by the pool. 2 drinks with dinner. And then 10 drinks from 8-3am in the casino/shows. It’s certainly easy to do! payitforward Posted February 28, 2018 #14 Share Posted February 28, 2018 Okay - New to Carnival, but got my cruise because of an M-Life promotion. I also gamble plenty on RCCL. Can anyone tell me how much you have to play and/or spend to get DOU? I'm normally a table player; either blackjack or craps. Blackjack, I don't play a lot more than minimum unless I'm doing well, but I play a LOT. Craps I'll bet the pass, odds and inside.

d12j28 Posted February 28, 2018 #16 Share Posted February 28, 2018 Seem like the case of; depends on ship and casino manager? The DOU card use to be separate from Cheers. You would be able to get 15 drinks with Cheers and 15 with the DOU card. That is not the case anymore. The limit is 15 whether you have one, the other or both. It would depend more on the server/bartender. I've had them "conveniently" forget to swipe my S&S card before and I've had the casino host comp drinks with her own card so it doesn't count on ours. So there are ways around it. For most people though they should plan on the 15 drink limit. YMMV.

I play blackjack exclusively and it seems the more I’m tipping the dealer, the more free drinks I get for the table.
Hoosierpop Posted February 28, 2018 #19 Share Posted February 28, 2018 If you are getting drinks that don’t count toward both DOU and cheers, you are lucky. They are supposed to be combined. In terms of table play and DOU, it is the mystery of the universe as to when you hit the magical play point to earn it. Blackjack22 Posted June 28, 2018 #20 Share Posted June 28, 2018 I think the drinks that the pit boss buys for the table are not counted towards the cheers or dou card because they aren't linked to the same billing code. I haven't had a pit boss buy the table a drink in my previous few cruises but last time one did, I believe I maxed out my cheers package that night and it was 15 cheers drinks and the free drink didn't show up on my bill. Elaine5715 Posted June 28, 2018 #21 Share Posted June 28, 2018 YES, ALL DRINKS ON THE DOU COUNT TOWARDS THE 15 LIMIT. If even notes that on the card. Each drink is rung against your folio with a 0.00 amount unless you tip. When the pit boss or casino host puts a drink on their folio, it does not count against your folio. The free drink coupon also counts. Non alcoholic drinks do not.

Dork42775 Posted June 29, 2018 #23 Share Posted June 29, 2018 Cheers, DOU, and pit boss comped drinks are all supposed to count towards your 15 drink limit. Sometimes a couple slip by but not very often. I have been cut off multiple times playing the Pokerpro table since they comp more drinks there because you aren't getting any points at all playing there so the drinks are your reward.
