samshltn Posted March 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2018 I'll be on my third visit to Harvest Caye later this year, and I've got an idea: On the ship, drinks are free. On the Caye, they are chargeable. Is there anything to stop me carrying drinks off the ship to drink on the Caye?

On our cruise there , I previously got several unopened beers, and then put them in our cooler bag for the beach.

Good to know - My DH is a beer drinker so I will "smuggle" some (ok a lot) off. I just might take my Yeti off ship with a few beverages in it too. mcdontara Posted March 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2018 We also took unopened beers off without a problem- good luck!

AlexandNessa Posted March 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2018 We were in an OS, so had three bottles of liquor included with our stateroom. We took a bottle of vanilla vodka and some diet Pepsi off to share with friends in our Beach Villa. Hubby brought Coors Lites as the beer selection on the island isn't extensive. Just need to remember that whatever you take off the ship, you can not bring back on. Enjoy! WendyD Posted March 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Just back from Dawn sailing that stopped at Harvest Caye. We were there early in the morning and had to be back on board at 12:30. I had a insulated mug that I filled up before getting off, no one seemed to care.

I shall exercise your idea to the fullest extent next week
kpjb Posted March 6, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 6, 2018 This was my plan also. Insulated "water" bottles full of UBP drinks are going ashore with me. Worst they can do is dump them out... not like I paid for them anyway.
hannibal54 Posted March 6, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 6, 2018 I took some cans off with me also, no issues.
