The GoldenPrinces was in dry dock prior to my April 14th

Cruise from Singapore to Tokyo

It was a shake out cruise many issues & complaints.

No A/C, water dripping, toilets not working

My cabin was perfect E605 no complaints

Had a great cruise loved all the ports. The staff was wonderful.

I got off in Tokyo, the Golden Princess continued on to

Alaska & Vancouver for the Alaskan summer cruise season

All the kinks should be worked out by the Alaskan season

As a wise person once said, don’t book the last cruise before a dry dock or the first cruise after. You never know what will happen.

Due to our land tour first, we will not be arriving to the ship until 6:30 PM. Will the MDR open for dinner or is the first night just buffet?

The dining rooms will be open, but without tables assigned if you are in traditional.

It has been several years, but when we did this tickets were handed out when we boarded to go to the first seating time (before muster) or the second seating time (after muster). Those who boarded earliest were given first seating while those who boarded later were given second seating. Even if you were in anytime that night you ate at the time assigned when you boarded. Arriving at 6:30 PM you should be assigned to the after muster seating.

We’re on the Golden in April 2019 for 27 days from Sydney to LA....will she retire shortly after that then, I suppose! I know she’s an older ship, but us old gals still gave some class!!!
