Escape Late Depature 4/14/18

So I was baffled to see that the Escape leaves Miami at 8pm for the 4/14/18 sail date. Does anyone know why it is so late? Also when do we need to be on board?

6 pm is all aboard, but you will miss muster and have to do the make-up drill.

What time will the muster drill be with an 8:00 departure?

I think we are leaving so late because our first stop in Nassau and that isn't very far away.

I believe that did that late departure all of last summer as well, starting right after daylight savings time kicks in.

We're on that sailing as well. Our CruiseDocs indicate that our arrival time at the pier is 10am. I don't mind the late departure. Plenty to do onboard even in port, especially in Miami. All aboard time is still 2 hours before sailing.
