AFT_LOVER Posted December 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2005 A nice guy just posted sailing on Oosterdam, and that all tips are included, drinks are too? I just visited the web site which is very unhelpful to a new visitor who is far from a new cruiser with 20 domne already on Princess, Celebrity, RCCL and one firey Carnival. He stated that we don't have to pay Radisson fare for what HAL has. They do have some great sails that RCCL, Celebrity & Princess do not.

Tips are charged at 10 pp per day and drinks (and other things) are extra.

jhannah Posted December 27, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2005 If you enjoy soft drinks, you might consider purchasing a soda card once you get onboard. Generally speaking, if you drink more than 2 per day, you'll save money with the card.
kryos Posted December 27, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Contrary to what the other poster said, Hal adds 10 dollars a day per person to your on board account . It's possible, though, that he was sailing with a group whose onboard gratuities were prepaid. I was part of a group on Celebrity earlier this month and our gratuities were handled in that manner as a part of our cruise fare. This allowed us the freedom of switching dining tables and times ... as long as we dined at one of the three tables during each sitting that were specifically for our group. So maybe that's why he thought his gratuities were included ... because with the group he was traveling with, they were. Blue skies ... --rita
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 27, 2005 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Lemonade was not available in the Lido nor was it served out on the open decks at 10:30 AM (like we have gotten used to on other ships) last month on the Ryndam.
