Royal Caribbean and Shore excursion openings

Looks like my Adventure OS cruise for 2019 has opened shore excursions up. This might be a dumb question but can you purchase shore excursions (especially with the sale going on) before final payment? If you cancelled cruise before final would you get shore excursion back? Not that I plan on cancelling but just want to know.

Yes, if you end up not taking your cruise, they will refund your excursions. And you can purchase your excursions at any time, from now until (usually) 72 hours before your cruise.

 

You can even buy, then if the price decreases, cancel and re-book at the lower price.

Also, they do tend to add more excursions 6-8 months before sailing. Keep checking as a better excursion or price may pop up. As Merion_Mom says, it’s easy to cancel and rebook.

Also, if you do happen to have some sort of emergency and need to cancel your cruise, you will receive a full refund of excursions that you purchased back to your card. This happened to us in November (health emergency) and we cancelled only 2 days prior to sail date. The refund of our excursions was processed within just a few days.
