Nassau Private Taxi at Port?

We typically utilize Marriott points to book 1 "night" at Atlantis for 30,000 or so points, plus about $60 in service charges when we have a port call in Nassau, and we don't preplan transportation and just grab a taxi. Usually it takes 5-10 mins to get a full group, and then they stuff you into a van.

What options exist there for a private taxi? I know we are able to get one coming back from Atlantis for only slightly higher than we pay for three of us in the van, so we'd like to try going that route in April when we'll be back. Should I pre-book transportation, or is there an area where we disembark that also has private taxi's in the midst of the many people trying to get you into their van?

Also, if others know, how much should I expect to pay? I don't recall what I paid from Atlantis back to port, but just recall it being slightly higher.

Thanks in advance!

Cheryl Bahamas Taxi and Tours. They can meet you by the water fountain right when you walk out. Ask them about pricing, might be worth it. Very, very professional and nice people.
