Single Parent Crusing with Older Kids

Just curious about the future - I'm the single DD and my oldest is currently 13 plus there are two more right behind her. We LOVE a cruise vacation and plan on doing many more. However, at some point, I am not sure I want to be in a room for seven days with three older teen age girls. I believe you can't book a cabin under 25 for most, if not all cruise lines. Outside of booking a suite, are they any options for us? Would the cruise lines let me book two rooms with a connecting door?

Your best option is to find a female adult (over 21) friend/family member to stay with the tween/teen girls and you book a solo.

NCL will not let the minors in a connecting stateroom without an adult.

 

Another option is a 2 bedroom suite.

I know the Jewel does, it was one of our upgrade options. Would have to look at specific ships to know which does what.

If there is only one over 21, they will let you book connecting cabins. However, if there are more than one over 21, they have to be booked one in each cabin, even connecting. You will be fine.
