Amawaterways November Danube cruise skipping Bratislava

The AMA Waterways website lists the information clearly in the itinerary section - did you look at the daily itinerary information tab? I just picked one and this is what they say - not sure if it's always Krems or not, but you should be able to look it up easily for whichever cruise you want to go on.

*Please note: Due to local closures, we will not visit Bratislava during the cruises departing in late October through December. Instead of visiting Bratislava, guests will enjoy visiting the charming winemaking town of Krems.

I and DW will be on a Viking Danube Waltz Cruise in late October 2019 that stops in Bratislava. What's the deal with closures that time of year in Bratislava? Holidays? Seasonal closures? (We'll only be there a half day - no time for museum visits anyway.) Construction closures for 2018 only? Anybody know what AMAWaterways is referring to?

When I originally asked the question Krems was not listed on the itinerary. But in recent days it was posted. It looks like a nice area and we are happy to go wherever the boat takes us. Looking forward to a wonderful adventure. Thanks for everyone’s help.
