So now have we seen one??? Lol

Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa... My DW just showed me our "Coconut Head", and yes it has a small gold sticker "made in china", and a ph# on the bottom!! Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa...

Shows to go ya, don't always believe what you see on a Cruise Ship, especially after a few der ..inks...! HS!

And all this time, I thought it was a "real Coconut".......

And now I guess, I'll have to resign from the real Coconut Head Forum!!:confused::confused:

What's the difference between the original ones and the ones they sell now. I had to laugh when I bought mine. On the bottom it says "Made in China".

I "think" the drinks contents may be the same or similar, but I was referring to the Coconut Head, made of a real coconut cut in half. :):) Plastic ones, well, they could come from anywhere, so seeing made in China on one doesn't surprise me. Hopefully the drink contents are not pre-made and imported from China??

"I have never seen" a real coconut stamped with made in China!! :D They may have them, you never know these days?:D

Mine is the real coconut. I think it was bought on our cruise in 2015, so it wasn't that long ago.

Hopefully you have a "real" one, but you may want check the bottom, and the top closely!

We have had ours for years and "thought it was a real coconut", until last night when DW showed me the China sticker and Ph#!

We did a close inspection under bright lights, the top is entirely made from different material ? Now, we think it is a plastic MH from China.

We were wondering if they still had these. On our Dream cruise 9-2017 they were never offered. We looked for them daily. :( Will make sure to ask this next cruise.

I don't remember seeing any on our May cruise on the Miracle, DH says he saw a couple once at the Lido bar.

If you have an itinerary that includes Nassau, there is a "maybe". At the Straw Market, to the left of the market as you're facing it from the street, there used to be a guy that sold items made from coconuts, such as yard ornaments, bird houses, etc. It's a long shot, but if he's still there, it might be worth a look to see if he has what you're looking for.

Saw some in Cozumel too way cheaper than the ship no drink though.

Mine is definitely a real coconut. I know the difference between plastic and a real coconut. Just because it has a made in China sticker on it probably just means that that is where it was manufactured.

It's funny because now that I think about it, I don't remember being offered one single special cup on Elation this week. I just happened to see a couple people with coconut heads, but not once did I see employees walking around with trays of disco ball or blowish etc.. I wasn't even offered a drink upon embarkation which I thought was strange.

At least from the service (or lack thereof) I've received in the Casino and MDR, it seems Carnival has cut down on the number of bar waiters. The upside though is I don't get hit up so often on embarcation day by waiters preying on first-time cruisers who don't realize those pretty fruity drinks on the waiters' trays aren't free.

I thought I did too! Short of going to get yours analyzed, tap on it, then tap on a real coconut?? If it said made in China, it probably was. I don't think coconuts grow in China?

It really doesn't matter though....they are great a for a large drink to carry around for a while!!:):)
