Do we even need a drink package?

Recommended Posts

To me the coffee in the windjammer and dining room is the worst coffee I have ever had. They do sell a coffee card that gives you 15 espresso based coffees for $31 plus gratuity. The good thing is the card can be shared and any leftover punches on the card can be carried over to the next cruise. The card can be purchased through the cruise planner or after you get on board.

I just noticed that card when I logged in to cancel our refreshment package. I think we will get one of these. Thanks!

On Carnival Vista last fall we were able to order cans of soda delivered to our statement precruise for $10 a 12 pack. Does RCI offer anything like this? Scheduled for my first RCI cruise in August on Adventure.

Yes, it's $12 for a 6 pack, $22 for 12....and also a 24 pack option. A guy posted the menu from a ship he was on last week. I think it was a door tag like the room service menu.

There was also a bottled juice option, the prices were different though (higher of course).

EDIT: I found the thread/post that lists the individual prices. I thought it was interesting because I had only seen the 4 cokes with a 375ml of liquor before. Also, the soft drinks are $2 or less with this package vs. the $3.50 a can any where else on the ship. Here's the link

To the OP - looking through the thread it looks like you're going to 'splurge' on coffee (buying a coffee card) and the 10 drink card and you've ordered a case of water to your cabin. Stop and add all those things up and make sure the package isn't a better deal, since all of these items are included in the package. You may be surprised:D
