Upgrading our Stateroom

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on which deck is the best. On our last cruise, our stateroom was on deck 7. We're thinking about upgrading our room and we would have to change decks. Are there any drawbacks to any other decks? Potentially deck 2. Thanks.

Every cruiseline handles things differently. What's on what deck and which decks are "better" can be vastly different from line to line as well.

 

Generally, lower decks are less bouncy in waves, though.

 

If you have questions about specific cruiselines, use the boards here dedicated to each cruiseline. Make sure you put enough info into your post so folks can help you, such as Ship name, class of room (inside, outside, balcony, etc).

It would depend on what your cabin was under. also the lower the cabin the less movement but perhaps more noise. And usually going to higher decks are upgrades going from deck 7 to deck 2 sounds like a downgrade unless you mean the second deck from the top but decks are numbered bottom up not top down.
