Not only messenger but Facebook as well, so you may upload photos (although that might take some time if you want to upload many of them at a time).

Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp another messaging app, both work under the "Social" package.

Can anybody comment on weather you were able to use the calling feature on Facebook messenger? Not the video chat but standard calling from messenger to messenger

We're just off the Horizon and no, we were not able to connect to wi-fi calling with the Messenger app on the Social plan. Only messages.
