If your paying gratuities per person already why then is a 18% gratuity added to the deluxe beverage package?

Am i correct that the deluxe beverage package on The Adventure of the Seas is 55.00 per person per day WITH 18% on top of that?

What is the average price of a drink? Pina Coladas, Daiquiris, Rum runners, Mai Tai?

The prepaid or automatic gratuities only cover your stateroom attendant/helpers and your dining staff. They do not cover bar servers.

 

Fancy cocktails (blender/frozen/upper shelf) are around $12-$13.

Per person gratuities cover your stateroom and dining staff, not the bartenders. The 18% gratuity is added to the cost of the drink package or individual drinks purchased. The drinks you mentioned will cost about $12+gratuity.

Thank you for your replies. But i did look up what the gratuities include and it states, "bar and culinary service staff" as included in the gratuities.

Well, it's not unusual to get incorrect info from the website. Bar staff are not included in the standard daily gratuity.

Bar staff is not “culinary service staff.” That’s your wait staff and other people at the included restaurants that are behind the scenes. Nothing to do with drinks. For the package, you pay the 18% bar gratuity on the package price rather than each individual drink.

Same as all the other cruises you've been on. I tip is added to your drink. A tip is added to your beverage package
