aaaaa Posted April 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2018 Good day. Do prices rise or drop only when a sale event ends, or could rises/drops occur at any time? I see that current prices are supposed to last until July 1, and I'm wondering whether it's worth checking for revised prices before then. Thanks. Rare LHT28 Posted April 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2018 prices do not vary much on Oceania like the main stream lines They may drop closer to sailing or they could rise If there is a prive valid until July 1st it may or may not increase it just gives O the opportunity to revise them if they choose check their webpage under the offers sometime you will find a cruise with discounted price https://www.oceaniacruises.com/special-offers/
the mice Posted April 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2018 We were booked on a cruise for September 2017, and there was a price drop during a Memorial Day week sale (late May) that we were able to take advantage of.
aaaaa Posted April 23, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted April 23, 2018 If taking advantage of a sale post-booking, do you receive on-board credit, an upgrade, a price drop, etc.?
the mice Posted April 23, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2018 Speaking only for myself, it depends. If my TA gave me OBC as part of the agency offer upon initial booking, and I had to rebook to get the sale price, I might lose that OBC if it was not part of their offer during the sale. For my Marina cruise last September, my original booking had prepaid gratuities from my TA. When the Memorial Day sale occurred, I kept the same booking number, and the cruise fare was $1500 less even with a cabin change from C to B2. so a substantial savings, but I lost the prepaid gratuities (worth $384). I was more than pleased with the net savings and upgraded cabin.
