FYI I also bought the Harbor Freight 10x50 for $18.  They are very bright and clear with a wide field of view.  they are also bigger and heavier than i would like.  keeping those for the kids travelling with us.

On Amazon it was a flash sale for a few hours for the wingspan binoculars and I was very pleased to purchase them at that price.  Perhaps that sale will return- I had not seen it before.
