B2B Questions

Just booked our first B2B on Horizon in November.

We are in the same room so know we won't have to pack up but will we have to get new Sign & Sail cards?

Will we lose our casino points from the first cruise?

There are considered two separate cruises so yes, you will get new cards and no, your casino points will not roll over.

So if you book the same room on both cruises you don't have to pack, but do you have to disembark and such? we're considering a B2B on the Liberty next year.

On disembark day you will be asked to go to a meeting point. Once everyone is off, you will be escorted off, taken through immigration, presented with your new cards and back on. We were off for 20 mins.

We did a B2B, on Paradise, a couple of years ago. Yes, you will have to disembark. A ship employee will meet you, and personally escort you off the ship, through customs, and right back on the ship. You will be issued new S&S cards. They take your picture with some kind of "Welcome Back" on it. The picture will be complimentary. Then you're free to roam the ship where ever. Kind of neat, because it's pretty empty for awhile.

Be sure to check in with Guest Services, at some point on your 1st cruise, to make sure they have you down as B2B cruisers. We were the only couple doing a B2B, when we cruised. Usually there are more peo ple. They will give you instructions on where to meet on the morning of your 1st cruise disembark. In our case, they had us sit in the lobby until all the other cruisers were off the ship, then came and got us. It was so much fun watching everyone have to leave, knowing we had another week of cruising.

Have a wonderful cruise, I mean 2 cruises. Of course you will.

We have done a few b2bs and for one we were the only ones. We found we were treated like rock stars the second week by the staff. We were sailing out of San Juan where both weeks had the same itinerary. Because of that I suspect they rarely had b2b cruisers. Anyway b2bs rock.

It can be, but isn't always the case. Just depends on how good a shopper you are and how flexible you are with dates, which is true for any cruise I suppose.
Not cheaper but we wanted to do 2 weeks and Horizon. The second week isn't great itinerary but we will get to enjoy the boat more.

Thanks for the help...can't wait:cool:

Good to know! Something I'd never considered. We were so enamored on our first day that we already were talking about the next one. Now that we're home, I'm looking at itineraries.

Gosh that sounds like fun. Curious if that runs cheaper than booking a longer cruise .

You don't get a discount for booking a B2B. They are considered two separate cruises. What others have said, you may find one cruise on a certain ship for one week and the following week it may be cheaper depending on the time of the year.

A lot of people figure that if they have to fly in to a cruise, they might as well take one B2B as opposed to taking two cruises a year and have to fly into both.

Loved our b2b on the breeze. Wanted to do Aruba and grand cayman and they were on separate itineraries. We had same room and it was easy and didn’t take long. They hand you new cards, walk you off, then right back on. It was cool being the first passenger signed back on for the cruise. You get a very small time without anyone else on the ship, so enjoy.
