Princess Casino offers seem misleading (for me)

Last December, I got a brochure talking about Casino Cruises with various benefits. I booked one of the cruises on the Ruby and got a Casino Rate. I also thought I was in for the party which included free drinks while in the Casino. Got aboard and was told we were not included-Booking with Casino rate did not mean I was in on the party-OH Well. Just got another brochure titled "game for anything" offering "up to 35% off cruise fares/ free gratuities/up to $300 off EZair. Found the cruise I wanted in the brochure-Australia to Hong Kong on the Majestic in March of 2019. Called my TA and asked him to book the cruise with promo code "CASINO" as stated on the brochure. He booked the cruise; got us a nice cabin and we are ready to go. He then tells me that, for some reason, the above stated offers won't work on this particular cruise. Cruise is listed in the brochure. I called Princess and first got the "You are working with a travel agent" so we can't help you routine. Talked with TA and he said he is not getting a positive response or even a reason from Princess. I called Princess and talked with my "personal Princess advisor" and got the same answer. Tried today with a mock booking and still cannot get the "up to 35%" off on the cruise fare or the $150 casino free play. What am I doing wrong and how do I get somebody to explain why these are not available?

Some offers may have a capacity limitation - that is they are not going to book the entire ship on a 35% discount. Not sure but some things do have this type of limit.

Capacity limit is mentioned in the fine print but I booked first day offer (brochure) got here. Would think they could at least give me the $150 free casino play but no to that as well.

I have had similar experiences. On board we get the "come back" casino offer, with an allocated amount for playing the casino if you book within 30 days after disembarking. It seems once we get home we have the Casino mailer, with the casino cash substancally less, with the party, gift etc. A couple of years ago, I did book with the come back offer, thinking that it would piggy back with the mailer...I was wrong. I asked on board about the offer and was told that it was one or the other. A lot of times the casino offer does not apply to some cruise dates. This time I booked, and the rate is the same as on the web, but it does say on my booking that is the casino offer. I want to pay it off soon, so I am going to call the casino people to see if I do get a discounted rate...My issue is...either honor the offer or give you correct information on what you are entitled to.

I got same players club brochure last week. I booked on it, the up to 35% is for 1 & 2 guests and is based in what type if cabin, destination (we booked a suite and got 15% off with free gratuities. Look on page 28 & 28.

Believe me-I have gone thoroughly over pages 28 & 29-Even sent pages to Princess with highlights on, what I thought were, significant points. So far, all I have received is "It doesn't allow me to enter that promo". All I really want is an explanation is to why it can't be done. Nobody has had one-I would accept "That cruise is already sold out" but that is not forthcoming. Supervisors of supervisors have tried to find a reason but computer just won't let them do it?

This I can understand because there always seems to be a statement saying "offers cannot be combined". My offer says "the discount (15-35%) is combinable with the lowest fare the qualified casino guest is eligible for"

I would contact the players club directly. Some offers you do have to book through them.

If I get onboard and am told I am not included in the free drinks while in the casino they will not see a penny of my money! If any of the promised perks are missing I will limit myself to the casino cash provided.

Our last cruise, we got the come back offer, I immediately booked something,( that is one thing that gets me, you only have 30 days to book and you have to book without having the opportunity to really get a good deal) So, a couple of weeks after I booked, I got an email for a deal I couldn't turn down, I booked it, which was sooner than the casino deal. Just for the heck of it I emailed the casino people, told them I booked under the promotion, would it be possible to transfer the cash to the sooner one. Being that I booked the original within the time frame and wanted to move to a sooner cruise, believe it or not, they agreed, but I would lose a $100 of it, no big deal. So I communicate by email, get the amounts and told that I would be set on the new cruise, just take my card to the casino for the money to be put on it. SO..I printed off all the communications with the offers and take it with me. Low and behold, we go to the casino, they have no record of the offer. Luckily I have the printed confirmation from the office and present it to the casino host who takes it and faxes it to the office to get the "official" OK. We waited FIVE days for the OK...luckily we were on a 10 day cruise. At first the casino host would acknowledge us and say a few words, after a couple of days, he would see us and not say anything. He said he would leave a message in our cabin when the OK came through. Nothing, so we went to the casino, and asked if he heard anything, he calls the "cage" then tells us to go to the cage to have the monies put on our card, and never acknowledged us again. Just for the record, the cash amount was pretty much near $800 nothing to sneeze at.

As a side note, as I was trying to get our issue straightened out by the casino host, while we were still in port, there was this other guy sitting nearby on his phone with the casino people trying to tell them they screwed up his offer too.
