Guaranteed Dining Assignment for Suites?

While doing a mock booking this morning to check fares on the Freedom, I noticed the description of suites includes Guaranteed Dining Assignment.

 

I don't remember seeing that previously, though I could be wrong.

 

With the delay in releasing FTTF for spring, 2019, and this change for suites, I wonder if the long-awaited revamp of VIFP benefits might be coming soon.

 

Or I am just crazy, and suites have always been guaranteed their choice of dining!

It’s been that way for a while. I think it went into effect when they raised Suite gratuities but I’m not positive on that.

Thanks. I have never booked a suite so I haven't paid much attention to the perks.

All that dies is guarantees your choice of dining. It doesn’t get you to the front of the line for anytime dining

When we booked our last cruise, all that was available at the time was the late seating or anytime dining. We waitlisted for the early seating and recieved an email 48 hours later that we got the earlier seating. We were booked in a suite, so I figured that was the reason it was switched so quickly.
