Anyone used King David Tours?

Hello, we booked with King David’s Tours for the zoo and Howler monkey excursion. Has anyone done this before? I was a little worried because it’s a 5.5 hour tour and I know it’s a long tender ride from the ship. We will of course do all we can to be first off the ship. Anyone done this tour or used King David’s Tours before?

Yes we used him last year. We had ten people so it was considered a private tour with just our group. The tour guide was awesome and we seemed to get to every place before all the cruise ship tours. Don’t worry too much about timing. He will be there waiting for you. We did make every effort to be off this ship first. I think we were on the second tender. No biggie. But the entire group had an awesome time and I would happily book them again.

Just got back from an excursion with him! He was the best. (my review copied from trip advisor below)

David could not have been more attentive to details or treated us any better! Great communication when booking the tour and we really enjoyed the videos prior to our trip. (they are very accurate in portraying the entire excursion). We enjoyed the history lesson and David singing of the Belize national anthem to us en route to the boat and traveling in a minivan with great air conditioning and the personal tour experience (4 of us) could not be beaten. The boat trip up the river was exhilarating and we were given cold water to take while hiking. Once we arrived at the ruins site David directed us to the least crowded areas first, allowing us to get great photos. He also used my phone to take some really cool shots like panoramic fun photos. We really enjoyed the very private tour and beat the crowds. David purchased cokes and snickers bars for us after all the climbing. (other people on other tours were not treated to little details like we were and seemed jealous) After touring the ruins which were amazing we traveled back by boat where we were treated to a private authentic Belizean lunch. It was interesting to hear details about life in Belize from an educated experience guide who is in touch with making it the best experience possible for his guests! Whether you are going to the ruins or taking another one of David's excursions you will not regret going with him.
