Taking soft drinks onboard at Southampton

We would like to take a case of diet coke and a case of water on at Southampton. I read on another thread the suggestion of just putting a luggage label on the packs rather than in the suitcase. Is that acceptable or should I just buy the smaller packs and squish them into the suitcase?

Thanks in advance

I have not taken soft drinks but did take a six pack of litre Evian bottles on my last cruise.

We took an extra case (type you use for airline hand luggage), packed the bottles in the case with some clothing for padding and checked it in. There were no problems with the case and water bottles reaching our room.

I wouldn’t put them in luggage that’s delivered to your cabin. Luggage gets thrown about anyway and you may end up with coke stained wet clothes.

Never had problem carrying on water and pop.
