newbie18 Posted May 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2018 Does anyone know if the in-room safes on the Magic are closed via a "card swipe" or a punched in code?
firefly333 Posted May 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2018 from what i remember a card swipe. ick. i hate that it has to be a card other than your pass, who wants to carry their drivers license around. try and find a card you no longer use and bring it to use. unless its been changed also remember the lights need a card inserted, another good reason to bring a old gift card etc to use
cruisinpips Posted May 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2018 The safes are key code type in all the newer ships. We have sailed the Dream, Magic and Breeze numerous times, and never had a card swipe safe. YMMV...:cool:
newbie18 Posted May 3, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted May 3, 2018 Thanks. I always carry some old cards with me but it is so much better to just punch in a code. Thanks for the info and happy cruising!
1994te Posted May 3, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 3, 2018 Just got off Magic on 4/21/18. They are key punched and do not require a card.
vamartha Posted May 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 3, 2018 On the Panorama Deck, they used a keypad and a code instead of a card swipe.
