Epic - do the aft elevators go to the 5th Floor?

Recommended Posts

We are on the Epic in September. Our room is next to the aft elevators on 8. I'm looking at the Epic deck plan and for deck 5 aft, it shows escalators (right next to Taste Restaurant) and no aft elevator.

Do we have to go to the fore elevators to take an elevator to Deck 5?

Where do the escalators go? They aren't shown on the deck plan for deck 6 (deck 4 and below I am assuming is for the crew).

The aft elevators do appear to reach Deck 6, and then I believe the escalator basically takes you from the Casino on deck 6 to the atrium/Taste area on Deck 5. I like the cruisedeckplans.com website as they put in a lot of pics and videos too.

Yes, that is correct. The area aft of Taste on deck 5 isn’t a public area, so the aft elevators and stairs don’t go down that far. If you use the aft elevator then you have to get off on deck 6 and then go down the escalator, which is just by the entrance to Taste.

If you can’t use the escalator then I assume you would need to use the forward elevator to get to deck 5.

The escalators are on the deck 6 deckplan. Just aft of o’Sheehans.

That is the one BIG kitchen, shared by Taste and Manhattan (which is just above). There is another escalator used by crew and waiting staff between kitchen and Manhattan.

Yes, that would make sense.
