Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a nice day! I am due to sail on the MSC Magnifica soon and I was just wondering if they allow smoking indoors, especially in the casino or bars? I am allergic to smoke and have bad asthma, so would like to avoid any areas that could potentially be an issue. If anyone can help, that would be amazing. Thanks in advance!

I have my welcome on board sheet from last week, the ship map and writing are slightly fuzzy so don't think it is worth me posting a pic. It looks like there are 4 smoking areas, 2 outside (the outdoor area at the rear of deck 14 and the port side of the outdoor pool) and 2 inside (the fully enclosed Cuba lounge cigar room and the casino).

We don't smoke and the only time I noticed or smelled smokers all week was at the outside pool. If you use the starboard side that is easily avoided. Our muster station was in the casino, it didn't smell of smoke when we were there but we never went in when it was actually open. We walked past the Cuba lounge several times and didn't smell anything.

I don't think you will have any problems.

They do allow smoking on the ship in a few areas including the casino which put us off spending any time there which was a real shame,

The atmosphere was changed completely in the casino due to smokers in my opinion

Pretty much sums it up, we are back from 14 nights on Magnifica, when passing the Cuba lounge you did get a whiff of smoke if someone was going in or out. I have asthma too but was not affected. I just avoid the casino and outdoor smoking area's.

lmao unbelievable

You are correct .

However it is the irritant that causes the cancer and the irritant stays active for up to 72 hours .  So that means that “stink” can kill anyone ….not just people who think they are allergic.
