tomtravel23 Posted May 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2018 We reserved a table at the Chef's Table for our upcoming cruise and our "My Viking Journey" says the menu for that night says that we're having "A Gastronomic Journey through Time." Unfortunately, they haven't posted a sample menu for that theme. Has anyone had that dinner?
georose Posted May 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2018 No, but it doesn't matter. Chef's Table is all about the mystery. Even if you saw the menu, you might not know what it was! Go with the flow. It's just plain fun!

tomtravel23 Posted May 7, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted May 7, 2018 May I ask where did you find the menu on MVJ? I’ve never seen this before. Thank you! Some sample menus for the Chef's Table were available for our cruise, which is next month, by selecting Dining on the Home page, drop down to Chef's Table and touching the Learn More button. The sample menus may only appear when your cruise is coming soon, but I don't know for certain.

Some of them we tried including yours in the title ;) We had it on Star and it was very good. I sent back lamb - it was well done but got something delicious instead :) It might be me but I perfected rack of lamb...lol (pardon my vanity), so anything else I might not notice ;) The portions are small except of some of the entrees but you are feel full at the end. We had Silver Package and the pairing was perfect. I believe if you don’t have SIlver Package and would like to have premium drinks, you can buy them there. I hope you will love the experience as we did. I think we were there 3 or 4 times.

lackcreativity Posted May 8, 2018 #12 Share Posted May 8, 2018 I know I am veering slightly off topic, but since Auntie Werewolf was nice enough to list the menu for Gastronomic Journey, I'll add the Sweet and Salty. Maybe we can start a collection. Twitchly Posted May 9, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 9, 2018 The best (included) wine we had on the Sky was at the Chef’s Table. They did a nice job with the pairings.

deec Posted May 14, 2018 #18 Share Posted May 14, 2018 Gastronomic was our favorite! Although this menu did not feature any shellfish do not stay away if there is shellfish on the menu, they will work with you for a safe substitution.
