wheezedr Posted May 9, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Honestly looking at that itinerary I’m not sure it makes any difference at all. Lots of time in port. The prettiest sail in should be the Stockholm archipelago and there will be islands on both sides. For really interesting sailing areas I usually find being out on deck is the best anyway
fitz0113 Posted May 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2018 We did this same trip last July on the Pacific Princess. The best cruise we have done in the eight so far. The transit into Stockholm is beautiful and it doesn't matter what side of the ship you are on. If I remember correctly it was early morning going into Stockholm so you will need to be up early to view all of the archipelago's on the way in. We watched from the buffet eating breakfast. The transit of the Kiel Canal is really interesting especially going thru the locks. You do have some good cell coverage during that time. If I remember correctly it takes a few hours to complete. Micahs Grandad Posted May 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 10, 2018 Loved sailing in and out of Stockholm. We just went from side to side. Do not think it matters which side cabin is on unless you plan on spending the trip in your cabin.

We are getting real close since we are on the two cruises before the Baltic one.
