b&hluv2cruise Posted May 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2018 We are looking at flying in on Friday for a Saturday cruise sailing. Has anyone stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton? We are looking for a clean place to stay and hang by the pool on Friday. Are there places to eat and relax on Friday night close by? Also considering transportation options from MCO to Cocoa Beach Hotel and then to cruise terminal? Looking for the best prices. Thanks for any advice! SteerageJoe Posted May 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2018 In my opinion the 4 Points has the worst pool amongst the popular cruise hotels! It is basically under the parking garage - small and in the shade most of the day. Are you looking at other hotels? How important is the pool versus swimming in the ocean for your group? JohninDC Posted May 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2018 Flying in a day early is smart! ;) We prefer to stay in Orlando - 1000's of hotels in every price range. We typically use a one-way car rental pre-cruise, giving us the flexibility to stay, dine and shop where we want. Drop the car off the morning of the cruise (about a 50 minute drive from PC - bring quarters for the tolls), and ride the car rental shuttle to the port. Post cruise, unless your flight leaves after about 2:00 I would not bother with a one-way car rental; just use one of the popular shared shuttles to get to MCO, or use Uber.
