mandream Posted May 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2018 I purchased the unlimited photo package a few days ago when the Flash Sale had been extended. I didn't take a screenshot - but it said the package was 20% off. I paid $200 for our upcoming 14 day cruise. I think that is a great price since I paid that same price for a 7 day cruise a couple years back purchasing direct from mycruisephotos.com. The strange part is - I logged into cruise planner today, and the price is still $200 - but no mention of the flash sale. I'm not really complaining as I'm very happy with the deal I got - but..... Is $200 the original (undiscounted) price, or is it the sale price and someone forgot to update the site (doubt it since it is unlikely they have to change every price before/after a sale)? Or is this just another one of those Celebrity site "quirks". Anyone else notice anything like this? Mike
StillLooking4Adventure Posted May 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2018 Yes, they still have flash sale prices on photo's and on drink packages. Thank you Celebrity IT!
Mike981 Posted May 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2018 I just tried to see what the photo price for our cruise in January and could not even figure out how on the website. When I click on photo / Internet packages, they only have internet packages. *sigh*
CruiseGal999 Posted May 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2018 With today's digital technology and excellent cameras ... even on cell phones and ipads, why do people still pay for photo packages? Can't you buy 1 or 2 photos for the fancy dress up and pretty backgrounds and that's it? Just curious. It's something I've never done on a cruise ... even in the 1980s when I first started cruising. Yes, I always have my phone, and therefore a camera, with me. But personally, I don't really like to take pictures, and don't really think to do so. If it were left to me, we would come home with just a couple pictures - probably of buildings or scenery. I especially don't like taking selfies - so that either means someone isn't in the picture - or we need to ask someone else to take it - totally not my style. With the package, we enjoy having the photographers take our pictures every chance we get - both on the ship and on shore. We also travel with our two sons 6 and 7 - we have lots and lot of pictures of them "growing up" on Celebrity. So for us, the package is a small price for all the digital memories we're collecting.
