I am starting my review of our Glory Cruise last week. We also did this excursion and had a completely different experience. Yes mama was great, but that was about the only similarity to your experience;)

I think a lot of it depends on the group of cruisers you are with. On grand turk the house and all was nicer but the people in our group were not as good as the first day at amber cove. So i actually enjoyed amber cove better. All in all its what you make of it! But you cant find fault with mama and her crew....they were very nice and helpful!

Oh and I forgot to add ....I got the middle Internet package and it worked pretty great the whole time......best in back at the Italian area
