We are booked for a cruise in April 2019. We fly into Rome in the am the day before the cruise. Any suggestion where to stay?

Rome or Civitavecchia?

My wife and I have been to Rome, but the couple we are traveling with have not. They would like to visit Rome. How easy is it to get to Rome ftom Civitavecchia?

A little reading around the board will reveal many hotel recommendations, as well as transport to Civi ideas.

There are several variables involved that only you know, like your budget, and your mobility.

Personally, we use Rome in Limo for our transport needs. We have stayed at the Cavalleri Hotel, very nice place, but not in everyone's budget.

Again, some reading would help narrow this pretty broad question.

I would stay at any number of hotels near the train station. You take the Leo from the airport to the station in Rome. Then the next day take a train from the Rome station to Civit...

And the area around the station is in walking distance to several sights. A great way to stretch the legs after sitting in a plane for about 10 hours.
